COVID-19, as has been said many times before, has effectively changed life as we know it, with nations around the world facing turmoil as unemployment rates rise higher and higher and as death tolls tally to depressing numbers. As mere individuals, all we can do is flock to quarantine, decreasing the spread of the virus via a depletion of social interaction. But what about the larger corporations with more means? Though a few have simply gone quiet — laying their employees off to save their corporations from bankruptcy — many have thankfully rose to the occasion: Nike recently donated millions to relief, creatives all around have started crafting for their community, and notable fashion brands of all sizes have pivoted to producing masks in high quantity. Among much of the LVMH umbrella, New Balance has followed suit. Their factories are teaming up with local medical facilities to ensure FDA compliance, and their goals are high as they seek to make up to 100,000 units weekly at both their Maine and Massachusetts locations. Alongside, their R&D team will be working on gowns, foot coverings, and various other essentials.
