Jovani Hernandez As anticipation for the WTAPS 992 increases, alternatives from New Balance are emerging. The latest is an “Oatmeal” 1500 featuring “Brown” and “Turquoise” accents.
A complete departure from its recent “Animal Pack” release, this iteration of the “Made in UK” option boasts various shades of “Brown” across its mixed leather and suede upper. Profile “N” logos capture their surroundings’ color-trifecta perfectly. Accompanying branding at the tongue and heel, however, forgo the understated arrangement in favor of the same “Turquoise” hue that appeared on the 997 duo by DTLR. Underfoot, the Flimby, Cumbria, UK-assembled 1500 delivers its signature all-day comfort with a classic ENCAP-cushioned midsole in an equally-classic “White/Grey/Beige” arrangement. Rubber outsoles round out the pair with a fan-favorite “Gum” finish.
