From collaborations to general releases, Reebok has put a lot of attention on their Spring/Summer ’20 collections in spite of COVID-19. Offering up not one but two signatures with Japanese label Mountain Research as well as an eightyone capsule with VAINL ARCHIVE, the Boston-based institution has not lost momentum one bit. And with Pride Month just around the corner, the brand is pivoting its attention over to vibrant, pastel colorways of some of their most classic silhouettes. The “All Types of Love” capsule and its accompanying “Proud Notes” campaign tells the story of LGBTQ+ community activists and influencers Twiggy, Dylan, Nali, Wazina, and June against the backdrop of commemorative apparel and footwear.
A spectrum of versatility and eccentricity, the range of models interprets the holiday in vastly different ways. The Classic Leather, which dresses primarily ordinary, colors in moderation and seldom as the focal tie-dye prints only marks the inner lining as well as the laces. One of the two Club Cs follows suit in this same execution — bringing along some rainbow-marked tongue patches alongside — while its bolder alternate more fully dyes with a wash of yellow, green, blue, and pink. This palette then makes its way over to the Instapump Fury, Nano X, and Zig Kinetica in different ways as the pattern treats either the upper or the sole.
