The Nike Waffle Racer Crater Uses The Recycled Space Junk Material

The Nike Waffle Racer Crater Uses The Recycled Space Junk Material

Most recently remembered for its collaborative dealings with high-fashion stalwarts such as CDG and Off-White, the Waffle Racer is already thinking about what it has in store for next year. However, drifting away from its partnerships for a second, the retro classic is instead fashioning itself a brand new silhouette entitled the Waffle Racer Crater. Drawing design cues from the Swoosh’s previously revealed Space Hippie collection, this forthcoming model inherits the very same recycled materials to compose its entire sole unit; offering up an identical multi-colored/chippy aesthetic reflective of its moon-inspired moniker. Additionally, constructional alterations arrive by way of exposed stitchings bordering its Swooshes, as well as throat overlays that have been thickened in width. Color-wise, this iteration relies on a cream-colored base paired up with grey suede paneling at the heels/forefoot, and is broken up by Swoosh/heel counters hued in burgundy. Peep a first look here, and stay tuned for further information regarding its likely Nike.com release in early 2021.
