Nike Injects Vintage Yellowing To The Challenger OG

Nike Injects Vintage Yellowing To The Challenger OG

Vintage has become something of new interest for Nike — the design team either drawing references to the past or simply reviving models long forgotten. And while more recently enamored with the 2000’s Spiridon Cage 2, the brand is finally heading to the late 70s to usher back in the Challenger OG. Simple in terms of its color blocking, the newly revealed colorway proffers a seemingly original colorway; navy hits dress the suedes at three focal points — toe, eye stay, and heel counter — while same-toned nylons outfit the medial side. Red complements lie directly opposite at the lateral, dressing up not only the check and base but also the mesh at the toe box. White laces and lining accent in tandem with matching retro branding while the tongue and tooling seem to yellow aggressively, giving the entire silhouette an unmistakable aged appeal. Grab a detailed look at these here and expect a release at Nike.com to arrive within the coming months.

In other news, a 2020 Air Max 90 N7 was just revealed.
