Elliot Santiago The adidas Superstar has been experimenting with a number of decorations as some of its latest variations have popped up with cheetah patterns, Olympic rings logo-inspired trim, and even patchwork paneling for its impending collaborations with Pharrell. And next week, its 50th anniversary library will be growing with four new women’s entries, all of which have been formatted with jelly constructions. While we did see jelly materials land on the 1969 classic last month, those iterations only utilized the colorful arrangements on the outsoles whereas these are executed with a more wholistic approach. Each member is tonally executed from top to bottom; deviating solely through its white accents of adidas branding place over its footbeds and tongues. The set includes four Summer-appropriate colorways including solar yellow, purple tint, solar pink, and vapour pink, and will be dropping on June 24th on adidas.com and through select Three Stripes retailers.
