Never hesitant to draw inspiration from the non-obvious, NikeCourt has recently taken design cues from basketball for its newest performance-silhouette: the Nike Air Zoom GP Turbo.
Designed with all-court game players like Frances Tiafoe, the Air Zoom GP Turbo delivers exceptional on-court responsiveness with its near-full-length Air Zoom strobel unit. The cushioning technology, which has appeared on the KD 12, KD 13, and PG 4, is stitched directly to the new model’s translucent, woven mesh upper. By bringing the Air closer to the foot, wearers experience responsiveness with every step.
In addition to borrowing performance insight from Nike Basketball, the Air Zoom GP Turbo has been inspired by not only innovation on the hardwood, court, or track, but also aesthetics. Hints of the Zoom HyperRev and Mac Attack emerge across NikeCourt’s newest proposal, most notably at the raked, molded heel. Reinforced medial sides and the Dynamic Fit lacing system deliver both performance benefits and style points.
NikeCourt’s Air Zoom GP Turbo is available right now at Nike.com in a “White/Court Purple” colorway. A follow-up coral/blue option launches on July 13th.
Elsewhere under the NIKE, Inc. umbrella, four pairs of the Jordan 1 have been officially unveiled as part of Jordan Brand’s Fall 2020 collection.
