Elliot Santiago Nike’s efforts to make sustainability both cool and wearable is being lead by their ever-growing Space Hippie collection this year. Since its last batch of releases involving the grey/volt assortment, the trash-to-treasure collective has been slowly unveiling more forthcoming colorways, and today it’s uncovering its latest Space Hippie 01 iteration.
Given that the season will soon be transitioning into Fall in several weeks, this next take is certainly suggestive of Autumnal essence. A faded black backdrop serves as the basis of its knitted upper, and is neighbored by white squiggly lace loops and interwoven Swooshes hued in “Wheat” – a color that usually appears on various Nike kicks during this time of year. Bottom pieces carry over from the aforementioned grey/volt capsule and see through to white soles with multi-colored Regrind scraps.
