The Nike D/MS/X Waffle Is Arriving In Black And Silver

The Nike D/MS/X Waffle Is Arriving In Black And Silver

Since its inception, Nike D/MS/X has exhibited a knack for incorporating past designs in brand new ways. With the brand currently enamored with retro runners like the Daybreak and Waffle Racer, it’s only fitting the sub-label provide their own contribution.

And though it’s dubbed the D/MS/X Waffle, the pair actually borrows from the design of the Sting, an adjacent silhouette that held its own against the aforementioned back during the late 70s. Revealed first in a sacai reminiscent palette, the modified offering is expanding on its existing breadth with a versatile arrangement composed of black and silver. The half mesh, half suede construction bears the shade in two distinct finishes, while the accents atop — swooshes, printed branding, etc — contrast in a bright white much like the sculpted midsole. Silver metallic accents then line the edge in premium fashion, providing notable contrast against the primarily neutral backdrop.
