It goes without saying, but the Air Jordan 1 is objectively one of the most popular silhouettes in the entirety of sneaker culture. And while collaborations by Travis Scott, UNION LA, and Off-White are veritably rare, they hold no candle to the ever-elusive roster of PEs made exclusively for Jordan Brand sponsored universities and their roster of athletes. English Sole, the imprint that brought us an intimate glance at the Marquette Jordan 1 PEs last week, is now back again with a full family photo of the entire collection that spans the aforementioned to the University of Florida.
When viewed together, one can easily point out the colorways’ many similarities. While their palettes are tweaked to better represent their respective teams, the constructions are given the same luxurious arrangement that’s replete with a variety of animal leathers. White accents underneath on each, providing neutral complement to the saturated Oklahoma Crimson, bright UNC blue, or the bold Maize Yellow that accents certain points — typically the toe box, heel counter, ankle flap, and Swoosh. Elsewhere, more versatile coats of navy or black seat the components adjacent save for along UF’s pair whose orange and blue signature imparts a louder overall look.
