Nike Applies Space Hippie Principles To The Waffle Racer Crater

Nike Applies Space Hippie Principles To The Waffle Racer Crater

This past year has given rise to both sustainability and retro releases, and as far as Nike goes, they’ve quickly answered to both with multiple heavy hitting releases. Now with the brand’s latest offering, we’re seeing the two sides come together through the Space Hippie informed Waffle Racer Crater.

Equally composed of both halves, the silhouette effectively tilts the vintage design towards subtle futurism. The tooling, which arrives entirely constructed and embedded with recycled materials, is visually enhanced in size, parts of the sole extending passed the heel a la sacai and their signature LDWaffle. Above, nylon uppers hue volt, its Swoosh and adjacent accents equally loud thanks to a fluorescent pink. Elsewhere, grey metallic films the toe cap while tanned webbing shrouds the sides of the lace unit’s highlighter green fixtures.

Grab a detailed look at these here and expect a Nike.com release to open up the upcoming month on October 1st.
