As Vans’ first official Global Music Ambassador, Anderson .Paak debuted an extensive range of both collaborative footwear and apparel. While the inaugural capsule drew heavily from the artist’s most iconic albums, his next — which is to release in about one weeks time — pays homage to his family, specifically, his sons Soul Rasheed and Shine.
Dressed two ways in honor of both his kin, the Old Skool leads the entire collection, sprawled with unique materials and hues well-representative of Paak’s aesthetic. The Old Skool Soulito, whose palette is far less varied in its full use of violet, stands out via a corduroy construction, fabricating its toe, side, and counter with differently oriented wide wale cord. In departure, the Old Skool Ziti is near purely a display of color as the suedes throughout are coated with shades of green, blue, and purple. Each is finished with green at the waffle sole and feature a hidden “yes lawd” print on the inside heel.
Alongside, Vans and Paak have prepared a small run of apparel and accessories. Two bucket hats and a branded backpack arrive in subtle mimicry of the footwear, while the accompanying chore coat comes into its own with a full plaid body.
Grab a detailed look at the pieces below and expect a release to hit Vans.com and in-store on December 11th.
