Todd Snyder And New Balance’s “Triborough 997” To Launch In Three Colorways

Todd Snyder And New Balance’s “Triborough 997” To Launch In Three Colorways

With several collaborations over the past four years, Todd Snyder and New Balance have been consistently tapping into their nostalgic senses for new footwear releases. Next up for the sportswear brand and menswear label is the “Triborough 997”, which reworks the classic New Balance 997 with a forgotten “Flying NB” logo that was first introduced upon the silhouette’s debut.

While the pair arrives in three suede arrangements—gray, blue, and burgundy—to stay true to its heritage, Snyder digs deeper into the brand’s archives to ditch the classic “N” logo on the side for the retro “Flying NB” mark. This particular logo was used for the first New Balance releases but was shelved as time progressed, but it returns in this premium cut collaboration to offer up some menswear sensibility as well as a bit of NB knowledge. To contrast the deep suede uppers, a light tan is used on the logo, as well as the panels around the collar and the tongue. Further paying tribute to the model, “997 new balance” is printed on the midsole as a final detail.

All three are available on Todd Snyder online for $230.
