Towards the last half of 2020, Nike started to aggressively push their sustainable designs. And now in 2021 — following further use of recycled wools and many a new “Crater” iteration — the brand is taking their “Move To Zero” initiative to the next level with READYMADE’s collaborative Blazer Mid.
Outfitter to Travis Scott, READYMADE has long made a name for themselves through meticulous construction and tasteful distressing. The Blazer Mid seen here mirrors that methodology to a close T, as much of the upper is constructed of various patches and imbued with the Japanese label’s penchant for militaria. As such, quite a large portion of the top half is patterned with a two-tone camo, this print worked into the collar as well as the tongue. Below, black ripstop is haphazardly overlaid atop greyed wools and a similarly neutral toe cap/counter combo that’s unevenly sculpted as if clay.
Finished with a thinned orange Swoosh and intersecting Volt strings, the release should arrive later this year at a rumored $160 USD price point.
