Jasmine Tang Towards the end of 2020, Nike had seemingly slowed down their rollout of new Vapormax Plus colorways. However, the surfacing of new offerings such as the Vapormax Plus “Barely Volt” seems to be telling of the model’s comeback this new year. Now, an Orlando Magic-inspired arrangement joins the lineup of new releases.
The black neoprene uppers are matched by the glossy floating cage to create a tonal look. Thus, the sole unit is where the magic happens; a translucent-to-royal gradient is used to color the signature podded Vapormax midsole. The royal is also seen on the tongue label and heel tab to further embrace the Orlando Magic. As a finishing touch, a small silver swoosh is found near the heel—yet another team-ready detail.
A release date has been confirmed for 2/4, so expect to find the pair on the shelves at the retailers listed below for $200.
