The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Volt Gold” Releases Tomorrow

The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Volt Gold” Releases Tomorrow

First teased via unofficial images in September 2020, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Volt Gold” finally arrives for adults and kids tomorrow, January 9th.

Although many Air Jordan purists have overlooked the pair for its non-original colorway, the proposition nods to the Jumpman Brand’s keen ability to modernize heritage design. As the retro’s moniker suggests, high-vis tones appear throughout the upper, which also indulges in the model’s beloved “Black Toe” arrangement. Laces and tongues help the Jordan 1‘s upcoming take further deviate from the silhouette’s on-court lineage, but they create an aesthetic that speaks to the inherent boldness of Michael Jordan’s first signature sneaker. The sneaker will undoubtedly sell out tomorrow, but what may be surprising is how fondly the pair is regarded in decades to come.
