For years, the Nike SB Blazer has maintained its status as a popular pick amongst skaters. Now, the Swoosh has recruited pro skateboarder Grant Taylor to provide insights to further improve on the design. By adding higher taping and subtle branding inspired by Taylor’s love for the Chevrolet El Camino, the label releases a Nike SB Blazer Low GT in a clean, black and white styling.
Uppers are mostly constructed of black suede, delivering a classic look that appeals to Blazer fans. White used on the Swoosh, branded labels, and midsole further carry out the yin-and-yang arrangement. For the first time, higher taping is used to add to the durability, while vulcanized rubber for the sole unit makes the model more flexible. Meanwhile, the tongue label and insole see a two-stripe motif and cursive text reminiscent of the El Camino—Taylor’s personal touch to the design.
