Alongside some strong Dunk Lows and Highs, Nike pulled out all the stops for the Year of the Ox, dressing many of their icons in themes befitting of a Chinese New Year celebration. And though that seemed to be all from brand, February is to offer much, much more, including a special capsule with DEAL China, 400ml, and the LeBron 18.
Though the LeBron 18 itself is an inline release, it’s the perfect fit for DEAL China’s affairs. In just its colorway, the pair speaks on the very same CNY themes, manifesting fortune and wealth through its auspicious red coloring alone. Alongside, the upper packs many a culturally informed detail, such as the water droplets that accent the frame and the fish scales that bring blessings into the future. What’s more, “Gong Xi Fa Cai” is written atop the insole in bold, wishing prosperity to those around it.
For the release of the shoe, DEAL has created a special box that’s limited to only 100. And that’s not all, as a number of accessories were also made to pair with it. This includes a roller debossed with Chinese characters, a bandana made festive in traditional patterns, a necklace cast in gold, and even a small leather briefcase. 400ml, whose accompaniments will unfortunately not be for public sale, then round off the pack with both a graphic tee and hoodie.
