Retro-inspired though modern-conformed, the Nike Blazer Mid ’77 Infinite strikes an interesting balance between the old and the new. While the frame and part of its namesake is overtly based on the original, the additions atop are far more futuristic. Today, the modified silhouette is back with another colorway, this one a mix of dark maroon leathers.
The focal shade is used all throughout the base construction, bleeding into the lining and the lace unit as well. White woven labels and Nike branding then dress atop, matching that of the more robust toe cap and the textured midsole right below. Where the pair begins to get interesting is in its overlays, which are molded and applied in a way far more contemporary compared to its backdrop. Thick outlines pipe each of the panels’ edges, with the palette taking on a cast of white neutrals, orange, and neon green.
