The Nike Daybreak Type has come to be a deconstructed, modern take on the heritage Daybreak silhouette, thanks to its inside-out style of contrast stitches and die-cut overlays. A new women’s-exclusive “Crimson Tint” pair arrives as a collage of colors and materials that’s as experimental as the model itself.
While images of a similar Daybreak Type in a feminine, primarily rose gold color scheme have surfaced, the “Crimson Tint” offering uses a more haphazard palette of colors. The mid panel sees a plush, almost shimmery pink makeup, contrasted by a sky blue suede heel counter and a striped black overlay. Adding to the playfulness, the toebox experiments with white lace fabric while the nylon overlap wrapping around the toe features blue diagonal stripes, Furthermore, the tongue channels a bomber jacket aesthetic via a vibrant orange label that sits atop army green quilted textile. The most notable detail is the side Swoosh, which is braided with violet ribbon. To tie the look together, the standard laces have been swapped out for flat ribbon-like ones.
Although the pair seems to have dropped in Asia, Nike fans elsewhere will have to wait for a release date.
In other news under the Swoosh umbrella, the Nike Air Max 3 is arriving in a sleek black and white colorway.
