Jovani Hernandez NIKE, Inc.’s “Move to Zero” campaign has ramped up production of footwear options utilizing recycled materials. Among the dozens of eco-friendly pairs, the Nike Daybreak Type has delivered a handful of statement-making colorways featuring Nike Regrind material.
The latest proposition indulges in a “Rugged Orange/Monarch” palette accompanied by rich purple and vibrant neon green accents. A mix of materials make up the modernized-runner’s upper, and forgoes the see-through nature found on several previous iterations. Yet, it’s overshadowed by the multi-color Nike Regrind structure at the heel connecting top-half to sole unit. The EVA foam midsole maintains a white styling, but its waffle-patterned outsole underfoot also opts into the aesthetic and construction of the bottom heel mold.
