Nike’s Lightning Bolt Swoosh Strikes The Air Force 1 Low

Nike’s Lightning Bolt Swoosh Strikes The Air Force 1 Low

The Nike Air Force 1 has long been a playground for artists to get creative with sneaker customizations, often painting and reshaping the side Swooshes. These innovative creations may have served as inspiration for the Beaverton-based brand’s design team, who are now releasing an AF1 that features a lightning bolt-styled Swoosh.

The pair is a collage of various textures, starting with a pebbled white leather base and mesh tongue. Aquamarine colors the defining nylon side Swoosh, which uses a split design that creates the look of a lightning bolt. This oddly-shaped Swoosh is reiterated on the tongue, ditching the familiar label tag with a printed, black vertical stripe. As for other branded elements, a mini embroidered Swoosh is found on the forefoot—a detail that has been seen on a handful of colorways. The Lime Glow shade used for this Swoosh is also applied to the Nike Air logo on the black heel tab. Images of an Air Max 90 and a Blazer Low using the same colors and design elements surfaced earlier, suggesting a possible collection where the new Swoosh will soon strike another silhouette.

Enjoy official images of the Air Force 1 below as you wait for the pair to arrive at Nike.com for $90.
