But no. Fans have really only been celebrating the fact that the Knicks haven’t been that (that) bad throughout the 2020-21 season. Yet, PUMA‘s latest Suede Vintage harkens back to a time, long ago, during which the team was actually good and exciting to watch. To assist in driving this idea home, the German sportswear brand has also created a pair clad in the iconic colors of the Los Angeles Lakers, a team that’s shared a storied rivalry with MSG’s home team.
As the model’s name suggests, uppers are constructed from high-quality suede. Each pair features either a vibrant blue or purple base, which gets complemented by respective orange or yellow profile striping. PUMA branding throughout the shoe maintains its standard makeup, with the company’s namesake and logo on the lateral mid-foot boasting shimmering gold flair. Underfoot, sole units don’t partake in either of the aforementioned teams’ colors, opting instead for a tried-and-proven, all-white style.
