Not long ago, Nike produced an Air Force 1 shaped homage to “Indigo.” And though unique and novel at the time, the pair was but a drop in the hat of a collection still growing to this day. Here, we’re witnessing a new iteration on the aforementioned pair’s design, with elements now shifted or entirely removed.
At a glance, though, the pair may seem near identical. The upper is still composed primarily of white canvas, cork still outfits the counter, and recycled rubbers support underfoot; even the Swoosh bears the same shade of light blue. But in the more minute details, the tweaks are quite evident. The indigo embroideries now sit atop the side profile, a more forward-facing spot relative to its previous tongue placement. As such, a more standard woven label takes up that location, matching the equally ordinary Nike Air that replaces the heel tab’s descriptive text.
