Nike Nods To Greek Marble Statues With The Zoom Freak 2

Nike Nods To Greek Marble Statues With The Zoom Freak 2

With Giannis Antetokoumpo’s statuesque physique powering the Milwaukee Bucks into the Playoffs, Nike has prepared a special colorway of his Zoom Freak 2 signature shoe that honors his home country’s traditional artform. While the colorway of blue, white, and gold makes a clear reference to the Greek flag, the addition of a marble-like graphic on the Swoosh, medial mid-foot, and midsole outrigger adds that subtle elegance that connects the modern day hero with the powerful men and women that were carved into the stone.

Adding to that elegant flair is a use of suede materials, offering a bit of that lifestyle aspect, while a translucent blue sole remind of the deep color of the Mediterranean – one of the many breathtaking sights of the country.

This Nike Zoom Freak 2 is currently available at Nike overseas and should hit US retailers in the coming weeks.

Updated April 23rd, 2021: A release date is scheduled for May 22nd, 2021.
