Jovani Hernandez Despite non-stop criticism, adidas Yeezy continues to move product. Some recent propositions (e.g. Yeezy BOOST 380 “Covellite”) haven’t instantly sold out like pairs of the past, but others like the Yeezy Foam Runner “MXT Moon Grey” not only immediately sold out, but are fetching almost 300% over their retailer price on the after-market.
While its fate has yet to unfold, the Yeezy 450 Slides will soon assist Kanye West in bringing his adidas-backed imprint’s sneakers to everyone who wants them. Previewed in August 2019 as part of a story for Forbes, the stripped back, Yeezy 450-informed shoe was recently shown on Instagram By Kim Kardashian West. The slides are likely to launch in a white, off-white or tan colorway, but they’re also set to arrive in an eye-catching yellow. Despite countless memes comparing the backless-shoe to ridiculous items, the Yeezy 450 Slides will likely immediately sell out whenever they release. Mr. West will undoubtedly keep pushing the boundaries with new Yeezys, especially in regards to Yeezy Rose, and it seems like lounge-appropriate footwear will be the focus for the foreseeable future.
