When it comes to kids’ releases, footwear brands have been treating the young ones to fun arrangements featuring animated motifs. For an upcoming GS Nike Blazer Low ’77, the Swoosh’s design team takes the phrase “the world is your playground” to heart by turning the model into a play area for some original cartoon characters.
The playground in question is a classic white leather Blazer Low that sees black profile Swooshes. Nike’s four letters are each imagined as a friendly, colorful cartoon character who playfully hides behind, swings on, or runs from elements such as the Swoosh, heel tab, and tongue label. Elsewhere, details familiar to the Blazer Low such as suede overlays at the forefoot and branding on the heel tab are found. Nike’s retro italics logo on the tongue label and a neon orange insole further differentiate this cartoon-clad offering from previous releases.
