In recent months, the Nike Daybreak has emerged in multiple plant dye-themed fittings that featured embroidered flowers and cork materials. An upcoming women’s Daybreak demonstrates the 1979 silhouette stepping back from botany and moving onto geography with a colorway reminiscent of the desert.
The heritage-style trainer features the nylon uppers, tongue, and sockliner dusted in a yellowish Desert Sand shade. Suede overlays on the toe, heel, and lacestays are in burnt red, namely Light Sienna. Adding to the sandy color scheme, the leather Swoosh and branding on the white heel tab see Pale Ivory, which appears to be an appropriate soft tan. Pale Ivory appears once again underfoot, much unlike previous Daybreak releases where the rubber Waffle outsole is in pitch black. A Nike-branded tongue label that uses a Pale Ivory on Desert Sand combo rounds out the design for a stylish, warm-toned option.
Enjoy official images of the Daybreak below before grabbing your own pair in the coming months, when it arrives at Nike.com for $90.
In other women’s sneaker news, the A Ma Maniere and Air Jordan 3 collaboration will be kicking off in women’s sizing.
