Michael Le After a string of solid tones, the Nike Waffle One is mixing things up a bit. Here, the color blocking takes on a look both far more interesting and rather familiar, borrowing cues from previous Black and Royal colorways.
Whether the Air Jordan 1 or the Undercover Daybreak is its main inspiration is unclear, but it’d be fair to say both have had a slight influence on the pair’s overall aesthetic. The titular blue shade colors in the base, whose sheer mesh hides a darker underlayer. Adjacent, black suedes cover the toe and eye stay, while the Swoosh follows suit in color but contrasts in its smooth leathers. What’s more, the counter adds even more suede, though here in a lighter blue.
