It won’t be long until the Air Jordan 1 Low OG makes its official return to the Jumpman product line, and there are certainly hopes that this specific trim of the low-top AJ1 will capture some of that Dunk Low madness that has captivated the sneaker community over the last two years. Originally reported in mid-2020, the Air Jordan 1 Low OG is officially revealed via brand images in a “Ghost Green” make-up, although the construction isn’t entirely on par with what you’d expect from an ’85 reinterpretation.
While the inherent DNA of the AJ1 Low OG exists, there are some significant edits such as the exposed spongy interior at the ankle, which gives off that chopped-off look and sealed with a stitch. A miniature Swoosh sits at the forefoot, while a checkerboard print on the tongue suggests that these may have some connection to Nike tennis shoes of the 1980s. Finally, a metallic silver covers the heel-tab, adding even more curiosity to this upcoming release.
A release date isn’t revealed just yet, but these are expected to launch May 2021 season for $110.
