Jovani Hernandez adidas Originals‘ A-ZX Series has brought notable, long-overdue attention to the Torsion-backed ZX line that began in the 1980s. For its latest proposition, the 26-pair collection has revisited the letter “X” for another “Inside-Out” take on the adidas ZX 6000.
Clad in shades of “Orbit Grey,” the forthcoming pair proffers an “x-ray” of the storied running model. Interiors are brought to light, with traditionally-hidden foam at the vamp exposed. Profile 3-Stripes boast visible zig-zag stitching, and are surrounded by glossy synthetic overlays. Reinforcement at the heel arguably makes the most prominent inside-out statement of the pair, as semi-translucent stability structures are overlaid atop exposed perforated foam. Underfoot, the theme is pulled back, forgoing the footprint-inspired graphic of its thematic predecessor. Sock-liners, however, feature schematic prints of the Torsion system.
