Jovani Hernandez Following news that sacai and UNDERCOVER are collaborating on a vintage Nike Running silhouette, the Nike Waffle One has emerged in a predominantly-off-white style complete with vibrant profile swooshes and inner lining.
Akin to previously-seen iterations of the modern proposition rooted in heritage, the forthcoming pair indulges in a near-tonal arrangement throughout its mesh, suede and TPU upper. Visible through the breathable base, however, interiors introduce eye-catching blue flair into the mix; collars and tongue lining follow suit. Elsewhere, profile swooshes further deviate from their understated surroundings, opting for a rich crimson tone instead. Underfoot, the sole unit is constructed from a white midsole and black outsole, the latter a nod to the waffle outsole Bill Bowerman debuted in June 1972. The swoosh-branded strip underneath the heel boasts an out-of-place neon green, rounding out the pair.
No Nike.com release date has been confirmed, but it’s likely this pair will arrive before summer ends. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the Waffle One here below.
