Marvel’s Venom Possesses This Upcoming adidas D.O.N. Issue 2

Marvel’s Venom Possesses This Upcoming adidas D.O.N. Issue 2

Donovan Mitchell — and, by extension, the adidas D.O.N. Issue 2 — is often associated with Spider-Man, Spidey Sense, and all things related to the wise-cracking web slinger. But today, both the athlete and the silhouette will celebrate one of the Marvel’s hero’s most notable rivals: Venom.

A possible nod to the film’s upcoming sequel, the colorway reflects most of the villain’s key design beats. The textile and mesh upper are clearly subject to the symbiote’s control, rendered in full black throughout the majority of the profile and sole. But speckles of red contrast below, alluding to blood splatters while simultaneously complementing the heel, which depicts the spikey teeth and vibrant jaws of Venom itself. What’s more, even their bright white eyes dress both left and right tongues.

For a closer look, check out the official images below. While they’re available right now in the UK, we’ll likely have to wait a bit before we see them on adidas.com US.

In other news, there are ten different KITH Vans Slip-Ons releasing this month.
