Thanks to both Shia LaBeouf and Kanye West, you’ve likely heard of the Nike SFB Field Boot. Dressed in militaristic colorways, the model was a key player years ago, often purchased out of admiration for the aforementioned celebrities. Today, though not quite as prolific, the shoe is to live on spiritually with the succeeding React SFB Carbon Low.
Though an extension of the Special Field Boot (SFB) umbrella, the low-top silhouette is more reflective of current, civilian design. Its shape is like that of modern runners, though with the support of a React-fitted, lug-esque sole. Above, the construction seems to proffer water-proofing similar to its predecessor, as every seam is tightly taped down by smooth, synthetic taping. And while it may flaunt the SFB name proudly along the insole, the pair’s ghillie lace unit is the only feature reminiscent of militaria.
For a closer look at the three upcoming colorways — tan, olive, and black — see the official images below. Expect size to hit Nike.com soon.
