Jovani Hernandez In 2011, the Nike Free Run 2 captivated the hearts and minds (and feet) of countless wearers via its ultra-comfortable, breathable and lightweight design. Now 10 years old, the model is set to retro for the first time ever, an accomplishment not many (if any) silhouettes under the Nike Free line have been able to boast. Mesh and synthetic bases on a newly-surfaced colorway help deliver a new style on the decade-old design, complementing suede overlays across the shoe’s entire length. A combination of “Pure Platinum/Wolf Grey” set the stage for a “Fossil Stone” that makes the ensemble appropriate for both sprint and autumn. As if nodding to its first run, the pair indulges in a slightly off-white sole unit that introduces an “aged” look into the mix.
