Although the Nike Pegasus 38 has widely taken over the “everyday running sneaker” category, it lacks in the off-road department. Luckily, the brand hasn’t forgotten about this segment of athletes, delivering the Nike Pegasus Trail 3 with much of what has made the mainline silhouette such a staple in exercise rotations across the globe.
A follow-up to inaugural “Mystic Teal” and “Black/White” options, a newly-surfaced “Archaeo Pink” style takes on a rather tonal makeup. Breathable mesh found across the upper indulges in the hot rose tone, with rubber bits around the tip of the toe, synthetic overlays at the heel and stitched-on fabric along the tongue deviating in a darker shade of the titular color. The Pegasus Trail 3 can be worn on urban terrain, but its aggressive outsole excels off-road. In any case, the improved lockdown, encapsulated Zoom Air units and use of Nike React foam make the shoe a stellar option wherever they’re worn.
An official Nike.com release date hasn’t been confirmed, but this Pegasus Trail 2 is likely to hit Nike.com by start of fall. In any case, enjoy images of the shoes ahead.
Elsewhere in the Swoosh empire, a 21-pair Louis Vuitton Air Force 1 collection was recently revealed in Paris.
