From cultivating environmental awareness with Parley to recruiting women-led brands such as HER Studio London for new footwear styles, adidas has long been fostering collaborations that promote worthy causes. The sportswear brand is now honoring Black communities and their leaders who are changing the world one neighborhood at a time, as it teams up with Atlanta-based nonprofit L.E.A.D. for a new adidas Forum Lo.
Founded by couple CJ and Kelli Stewart, L.E.A.D. is all about empowering Atlanta’s youth to steward their vision for the future. Love for Atlanta is channeled by the suede uppers of the Forum Lo, which features a subtle, tonal pattern of the city’s map. The aforementioned suedes exhibit a “Vivid Red” tone on the toe while coloring the rest of the model black. However, pops of orange return on the tongue label’s trefoil logo and the “L.E.A.D. ATLANTA” branding on the ankle strap. The black strap and laces can be switched out for “Vivid Red” options to match the toe. A typical, white rubber midsole sits below the base but adds an element of surprise underfoot. The translucent outsole reveals text reading “AMBASSADOR” in a graffiti font to complete the collaborative design.
Take a closer look at the Forum Lo below, which is available for purchase now at adidas.com at a price of $100.
