Throughout its 27-year history, the Nike Air More Uptempo has indulged in dozens of vibrant, sometimes thematic styles. Most recently, however, the Scottie Pippen-associated sneaker has taken on a much simpler “White/Black” colorway.
While most of the upcoming sneakers is clad in a “colorless” tone, some of its most iconic details don stark dark contrast. Pull tabs at the top of the tongue and heel go “Black,” just as swooshes at the forefoot and heel. Large herringbone tread zones on the outsole also deviate from their “White” surroundings, but the biggest statement arrives in the form of “AIR” branding that lines the profiles. The pop art-inspired lettering itself isn’t done in the “yin-and-yang”-complementing color, but its outlined in the aforementioned hue to round out the shoes’ two-tone arrangement.
