LeBron James‘ influence spans far beyond the realm of basketball, most recently being cultivated in Los Angeles. Beyond culminating on the big screen courtesy of “Space Jam: A New Legacy,” the Ohio-native’s purple-and-gold association has encouraged a thematic iteration of the Nike SB Nyjah 2.
Nyjah Huston, to whom the sneaker belongs, wasn’t born in the Southern California destination, but he’s fully aware of the locale’s importance to skateboarding, a sport that’s granted him so much. On this front, he’s taken the Los Angeles Lakers’ iconic team colors and dispersed them throughout his newest Nike SB-backed silhouette. Profile swooshes and branding at the tongue and heel alternate between the aforementioned tones. while James’ now-old “23” jersey number is embroidered onto the lateral heel. Unlike other propositions that’ve appeared clad in the basketball franchise’s color scheme, Huston’s latest shoes also boast NBA logos, which suggest the pair has been prepped as part of the institution’s upcoming 75th anniversary celebration.
A Nike.com release date hasn’t been disclosed, but the latest purple and gold proposition from the Swoosh is set to launch soon. In the meantime, enjoy official images ahead.
