The Converse Weapon CX Is A Modern Take On An ’80s Court Classic

The Converse Weapon CX Is A Modern Take On An ’80s Court Classic

Announced back in June, the Converse CX line reimagines classic silhouettes via a contemporary lens focused on progressive design and superior comfort. The collection has been gradually rolling out since then, with the Converse Weapon CX ready to be released tomorrow.

Recently remixed by Rick Owens, the Converse Weapon is a court style that debuted in the ’80s. The CX take on the silhouette keeps the model’s signature Y-Bar and Star Chevron branding while adding exaggerated elements. It sees a new, chunkier midsole comprised of innovative Converse CX foam for improved stride and comfort. A black premium leather build and white accents make for a sleek look that rocks an old-school aesthetic. In true Weapon fashion, a rubber outsole rounds out this new edit on a court classic.

Enjoy official images of the Weapon CX below, which will be available at Converse.com on September 2nd.

In other Converse news, John Elliott is adding unique patterns to the Converse Skidgrip.
