Michael Le It’s been years and the Air Force 1 Shadow is still going on strong. The silhouette, though an eclectic interpretation of the original, has basked in much of the same limelight, guaranteeing it many a follow-up. Here, we’re seeing just that: a Fall/Winter sequel that expands on Nike’s long-running “Sisterhood” pack.
But while it may touch on themes of femininity, the colorway thankfully avoids the usual tropes. Instead, bold hits of mustard yellow take the helm, coloring in the heel as it does the toe. Touches of blue, then, support adjacent, though they’re largely overshadowed by the aforementioned as well as the black leathers that fill in the rest of the upper’s blanks. Underfoot, a standard white tooling sits with black foxing and additional red-dyed molds, while gilded finishes highlight the “Together” cursive and special logo lock-up along the insole.
