A few months ago, UK-based artist Kelly Anna London added her signature body-positive silhouettes to the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 38—one of the Swoosh’s latest running shoes. The trainer continues to be the site of inspirational art as London visual artist Joy Yamusangie puts together the “Running Thoughts” collection—a vibrant display of what goes on in their head while they run.
Available in both black and white, the Nike Pegasus 38 is decorated with brightly colored drawings reflective of Joy’s flowy art style. These hand-drawn graphics include running routes and directions, figures jogging, and decorative linework. The theme of storytelling via art continues onto the insoles where she writes “we all have a story.” According to Joy, they hope to inspire confidence in the future generation of artists, runners, and beyond. Their “Running Thoughts” pack serves as a reminder that sports, arts, and culture is for everyone to participate in.
Enjoy official images of the Pegasus 38 below, which will be available at Nike.com in the coming months at a price of $130.
