New Balance’s “Protection” Series Expands With The 57/40 “Refined Future”

New Balance’s “Protection” Series Expands With The 57/40 “Refined Future”

After launching the New Balance 2002R as a “wearable relic,” the Boston-based brand has brought the “refined future” concept to the New Balance 57/40.

For the new “Protection” series proposition, the North American institution has maintained a predominantly tonal color arrangement across the model’s leather, suede and mesh construction. “Erosion” lands on most of the pair’s overlays, akin to the previously-released trio designed by New Balance‘s Yue Wu. Yellowing underneath the profile “N” logos and all over the chunky, reimagined New Balance 574 sole unit deliver an “aged” look on theme with the “trapped in time” ideology that informed the special capsule. Plastic ribbing on the bottom heel and branding on the tongue label inject the sneakers’ boldest hit of color, donning blue and red flair, respectively.

Enjoy images of the pair here below as you wait for an official NewBalance.com drop soon.
