Ahead of the Virgin Money London Marathon scheduled for October 3rd, London-based run club, Run The Boroughs, and New Balance have partnered on a special Made in the U.K. proposition. The canvas in question?: A New Balance 991.
Constructed from the premium pig suede, breathable mesh, textured leather and nubuck that its known for, the model’s latest take draws inspiration from the very city that RTB traverses on its runs. Dark concrete roads (and New Balance heritage) inform the bulk of the color scheme that takes over the NB 991, while rain clouds inform the varying shades of blue that land at the profile “N” logos, “RUN THE BOROUGHS” branding on the tongue label and across the ABZORB-cushioning unit accents. Lastly, reflective 3M detailing is added to throughout the trainer to ensure visibility when out and about on the streets of London.
Enjoy campaign imagery for the collaboration here below, and find the pair arriving on Wednesday, September 29th to European retailers the likes of END., Offspring and SNS. Additionally, check out the club’s on-going competition here for a chance to win the shoes.
