Vans Sk8-Hi “Freddy Krueger” Will Terrorize Your Dreams On October 1st

Vans Sk8-Hi “Freddy Krueger” Will Terrorize Your Dreams On October 1st

Among slasher films, few rival Nightmare on Elm Street, the 1984 classic whose villain — the sweater-clad Freddy Krueger — has transcended far past the 1h 31m runtime. Through sneakers, Krueger seems to have found new life, inspiring a mythical Dunk Low years ago and soon a commemorative pair of Vans Sk8-His.

Though a sample, this recent reveal gives us a taste of what’s sure to come this October. In design, the Sk8-Hi directly pays homage to Krueger himself, translating his signature red and green striped sweater to the canvas upper. The laces, midsole, and Jazz Stripe, round out the palette in black, which better contrasts the blood splatters that can be seen across the entire shoe.

Grab a detailed look at the sample below and expect to see something similar come October 1st.
