Thirty-six years removed from its debut, the Nike Dunk Low has accomplished a lot. Yet, as indicated by its explosion in popularity over the last three years, Peter Moore’s iconic design has plenty of creativity left in the tank. For its latest proposition, the made-for-basketball sneaker has indulged in a simple “White” and “Pink” color palette across a kid-exclusive release.
Akin to other classic offerings from under the Nike Sportswear umbrella, the newly-surfaced pair boasts a predominantly “colorless” makeup throughout its upper and sole unit. Subtly different shades of “White” take over the synthetic leather panels up top, while midsoles and tread follow suit in foam and rubber materials. The most notable deviation in color, then, arrives via the Nike Dunk‘s profile swooshes, which feature stark “Pink Velvet”-like contrast. Unlike on past styles, “NIKE” branding on the tongue label and Achilles’ heel overlay opt for an understated look instead of joining in on the side logos’ fun. Nevertheless, each aforementioned component helps create a compelling take that furthers Moore’s design legacy into the next 36 years.
No Nike SNKRS release date has been confirmed by the brand, but that’s likely to change once 2022 gets going. In any case, enjoy official images of the shoes ahead.
