LeBron James might’ve not gotten off to the usual start in the 2021-22 NBA season, but “the kid from Akron” and his Swoosh family are continuing along with the Nike LeBron 19 line. Recently, the ultra-cushioned silhouette appeared replete with leopard print, likely a nod to the Los Angeles Lakers superstar’s killer instinct.
Unveiled ahead of the “Space Jam: A New Legacy” film, James’ 19th signature basketball shoe maintains the high-top trim of the last few models and pairs it with handfuls of Air Max units across the upper and sole unit. The synthetic and textile components found throughout most of the sneaker opts for varying shades of white and black, while the mesh base visible at the tongue and through the profile overlays reveal orange leopard print; miniature swooshes art the lateral heel and “LJ” logos near the vamp follow suit. Underfoot, the wild style choice is abandoned, but the dual-chambered Air proposition and robust tread solution make statements of their own.
An official stateside Nike.com release date hasn’t been confirmed for the pair, but that’s likely to change soon. In any case, enjoy images of the basketball sneakers here below.
Elsewhere under the Nike banner, the Air Max 1 is set to celebrate its 35th anniversary throughout 2022.
