Air Jordan 4 “Zen Master” Officially Unveiled

For Spring 2022, the Jumpman has treated their preview just a little different, offering much less detail than the seasons prior. But in the case of the Air Jordan 4 “Zen Master,” all we really need to go off of is the nickname, one the colorway shares with MJ’s coach during the athlete’s iconic Chicago Bulls era.

Teased quite a bit in advance, the pair is a color-replete nod to Jackson’s habits — specifically, his penchant for meditation, interest in Buddhism, and use of spiritual traditions. In an effort to capture this visually, Jordan Brand has applied a tie-dye print to most of the upper, blending together hits of light purple and pink in a way somewhat reminiscent of a galaxy. Elsewhere, the heel tab and support wings fade into the background thanks to their translucent finish, while the netting, laces, tongue label, lining, and midsole do the opposite thanks to their black shading. Finally, as an overt celebration of the man himself, the words “Zen Master” are stamped along the inside tongue.

Enjoy an official look at the “Zen Master” here. A release is currently scheduled for March 19th, 2022, though that could very well change considering the recent supply shortages and shipping delays.

If you’re a bit more color-averse, the Air Jordan 4 Canvas might be up your alley.
