Jovani Hernandez First teased in June 2021, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Dark Marina Blue” is set to launch in the first quarter of the new year. Before heading to retailers in the U.S.A., however, the pair is releasing in the United Kingdom and Europe on January 22nd.
At quick glance, the upcoming sneakers deliver a modified version of the model’s inaugural “Royal Blue” colorway from 1985, but closer inspection reveals enough changes to give the pair its own identity. Synthetic leather covers the entirety of the upper, with panels peeking out at the toe box, mid-foot and collar areas boasting a pitch-“Black” arrangement. Overlays found at these aforementioned locations, then, indulge in the Air Jordan 1‘s titular “Dark Marina Blue” hue; tongue labels and Nike Dunk-reminiscent outsoles underfoot follow suit. Together, each component helps create a look sure to take over spring and summer, while also serving as yet another canvas for customizers to produce “Neo-Vintage” sneakers.
