Topographic Detailing Appears On This Stealthy Nike Air Max 95 Ultra

Inspired by both human anatomy and nature, the Nike Air Max 95 helped the brand go beyond what was expected from a performance-running design in the mid-1990s. Throughout the last 27 years, the model has appeared in countless inline and collaborative styles, with the former category consistently nodding to the sneaker’s connection to the great outdoors.

Recently, the silhouette’s Ultra-variant – which features weatherized elements – appeared in a stealthy colorway complete with graphic detailing resembling a topographic map. The design choice isn’t new to the Air Max line, though its greyish-blue appearance on the latest Nike Sportswear proposition is novel. Synthetic reinforcement takes over the pair’s construction closest to the midsole, while mesh around the lace-loops opts for a less porous composition that further protects against the elements. Reflective accents on the rope laces delivers added functionality to Sergio Lozano’s 1995-creation. Under the proper lighting conditions and at certain angles, the visible Airbags at the midsole showcase their deep blue tint, which complements the aforementioned hue that animates topographical lines up-top. Lastly, the Air Max 95 Ultra‘s modified tread reverts to an all-black look perfect for use in muddy, wet and snowy conditions.

Enjoy official images of the pair here below, and anticipate a Nike.com launch in the coming weeks.

In related sneaker news, the Air Jordan 1 Mid has recently appeared in a handful of spring-ready styles, including a pair with neon green swooshes.
